GCVGL THANKS DICKS SPORTING GOODS
For the past few years,
Dick's Sporting Goods has donated 10 lacrosse
equipment kits to GCVGL as part of their Community Youth Sports Program. Each kit includes a large equipment bag, 10 cones,
12 pinnies, 12 lacrosse balls, a clipboard, and a whistle. The retail value of each kit is about $50+ and
we rely heavily on this donation each year to supplement our existing equipment. GCVGL thanks
Dick's Sporting Goods for supporting our kids and lacrosse
programs.
AREA CLINICS/WINTER LEAGUES
There are many opportunities to start of continue your lacrosse training in the off-season.
From time-to-time, GCVGL will have training clinics at one or more facilities such as
Lacrosse Evolution in
Downingtown and United Sports Training Center in Thorndale. Check back
periodically for more information.
TOURNAMENT TEAMS
These programs supplement the recreational leagues (such as GCVGL) and are geared toward providing
a higher level of play for the more experienced middle and high school players. These teams enter tournaments (locally,
regionally and nationally, in some cases) over the late Spring and throughout the Summer. Some of these tournaments
showcase players for college recruiters. The financial and time commitment for these teams vary widely. The tryouts
for these teams occur in the fall for the following summer. A few of the local teams include:
Pa Express Lacrosse,
Envy Lacrosse and
Phantastix Lacrosse.
